Children learn best by actively engaging with their environments and trying many different activities. By being exposed to various opportunities where they can learn new skills, they are able to build independence, gain confidence, and have a healthy self-esteem. Additionally, it also gives them plenty of time spent playing and interacting with other people, which helps them develop skills that they would need in life like communicating, problem-solving, and being comfortable with other people. While there are various ways to play and learn, Markham School of Dance is bringing kids and teens over the age of three years old the chance to learn to dance, act, or sing right at the comfort of their homes.
With the advent of new media and digital technologies, Markham School of Dance is one with the changing times as they offer online classes for performance arts training. Following a live teacher led approach and an online setup, young people can get active, be creative, and have fun in their chosen program. Specially created for kids to express themselves, Markham School of Dance’s courses and programs were designed to allow children of all ages to learn and interact from anywhere.
Currently, Markham School of Dance provides a variety of online programs in the performing arts. In particular, these are grouped into three: Twinkle Dance, Dance Stars, and Broadway Stars. For young kids aged three years old to Grade SK, Twinkle Dance classes is the perfect program for them, wherein they can choose between ballet or hip hop, both offering fun and age-appropriate music that will surely engage the young dancers’ minds and bodies. Dance Stars and Broadway Stars were both designed to cater to children from Grades 1 – 12. In these two programs, they can enroll in online classes for hip hop, ballet, jazz, tap dance, theater dance, play a character, sing a song, or be part of an online theatrical production.
And during summer, winter and March break, students can join various online camps with fun themes.
