Parmar’s optimism in lodging lifted by vaccine rollout and strong summer demand.

Sonny Parmar, a Vancouver-based hotel operator is feeling confident about summer in Centralia and the return of tourists to the area. Extensive renovations at Parmar’s 88-room hotel located at 702 Harrison Avenue are already well underway and expected to be largely completed in time for summer, when experts are predicting a potential boon to demand for hotels.

Capital improvements to the building include structural reinforcement, hardwood flooring in guest rooms, granite countertops, modern furniture, and exterior refreshing. The hotel has served guests for many years under various brands, but one thing remains, an old-fashioned commitment to serving the needs of the traveler in a clean and friendly setting.

The hotel is strategically located near the Centralia Factory Outlets and some of Washington’s most treasured natural resources, offering guests a unique basecamp for their travels to the Centralia-Grand Mound area. When asked about the challenges of investing in the hotel industry amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Parmar said, “I believe that the business will return because the people will return. It isn’t so much about believing in hotels as it is believing that together we can, and will, overcome anything.”

Sonny Parmar owns and operates several hotels under flags from various brands including Choice Hotels International and others throughout Washington, Oregon, and Montana.
