GENEVA, Switzerland – This December 2019, in parallel to the United Nations’ 25th Climate Change Conference (COP25), every time a person pitches a 30-second video on Goodwall of an idea for a climate solution or shares a post related to climate action, in support of the Trillion Trees Campaign and the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP), Goodwall will plant a tree (max. 5,000).
Examples of climate actions include climate striking, recycling, planting trees, founding an eco-startup, going vegan, taking public transportation, going zero-waste, cleaning the beach, inventing biodegradable packaging, carbon offsetting, and more. Every idea and every action counts. The most powerful ideas will be featured and promoted to our community of over 1 million members in 150+ countries to gain traction and may be eligible for Goodwall’s 2019 $1000 Good Idea Award.

The Trillion Tree Campaign is a worldwide campaign started in 2018 by Plant-for-the-Planet to plant one trillion new trees to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change. Since its inception, the Trillion Tree Campaign has planted 13.6 billion trees.
The 2019 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP25, is the 25th annual version of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It is also the 2nd meeting of the Paris Agreement (CMA2), the 2015 goal signed by 195 members to restrict the global average temperature to rising by no more than 2°C. For 2019, the conference will be held in Madrid, Spain from December 2–13 and focus on and discuss the state of the global climate, greenhouse gas emissions, and rising temperatures.
